Hey There,

I'm Kara Sunwell
a Therapist, Consultant, and Facilitator
Four pillars that shape me:
Nature
Growing up in the Pacific Northwest has profoundly influenced who I am today. I often describe nature as my sanctuary. My reverence for the natural world permeates every aspect of my life. I incorporate eco-therapeutic techniques into my therapy practice, consult with like-minded organizations, and facilitate events that foster connections with the more-than-human world.Creativity
Creativity has been a vital part of my life since childhood. With an undergraduate degree in General Fine Arts, I believe there are opportunities for creativity in every moment. I infuse this mindset into my therapeutic work, whether through conceptualizing healing pathways or integrating creative activities. As a consultant, I approach challenges in innovative and unconventional ways, and I enjoy bringing people together through shared creative experiences.Mindfulness
I discovered mindfulness in my late twenties during a challenging period marked by depression and burnout. It has since become one of my most valuable tools. Mindfulness is adaptable to countless situations and can lead to lasting change when embraced wholeheartedly. I weave mindfulness into all my offerings, ensuring it enriches every interaction.Community
Community holds immense significance for me. I cherish my family and friends and actively seek connection in my wider surroundings. With a graduate degree in Community Psychology from Antioch University, I firmly believe that healing cannot occur in isolation. We are all interconnected, and to grow and thrive, we must rely on one another. -
